HEADSTREAM is a Studio space and Record store at Desa Potao Head. Its digital streaming platform is designed to shine a light on the voices, stories and sounds from Indonesia and around the world. The platform streams live daily from the studio. HEADSTREAM is sited within ’The Womb’, an undulating tunnel of bamboo by artist Nano Uhero which shelters the entrance walkway to the Desa Potato Head site. At the studio’s frontage, a window protrudes into the walkway framed in red and white recycled HDPE plastic collected from household waste across the island. The window integrates the DJ console, expressing the workings of the studio as a performance to the exterior.
The project was a collaborative work with Potato Head and artist Kanoko Takaya.
