Parachute is a bakery, deli and farm-to-table restaurant located in the paddy fields of Berawa, Bali. With an emphasis on locally grown, seasonal produce, its menu showcases honest cooking to be enjoyed in an open-air setting. The venue’s namesake, a reclaimed sixty-four foot cargo Parachute, floats over the centre of an outdoor lounge deck, providing shade from the tropical sun. The integration of vintage furniture and salvaged building components to the design collectively bring a sense of home-grown spirit to the venue.
ZXC Studio worked in collaboration with artist Gabriel Korty to design the Parachute set up, as well as the motifs and artworks in the venue. A photographer, sculptor and woodworker, Gabriel is a co-founder of the community arts project Parachute Days, held in in Point Reyes Station, California.
